Powers / Abilities:
While the full extent of the Sentry's solar-based abilities is unknown, he has demonstrated super-strength, invulnerability, super-speed, the power of flight and the capacity to control light. The Sentry's abilities derive from an experimental serum that creates a phase-shift in his molecules, causing each atom to step an instant ahead of the current timeline. The serum induces a photosynthetic reaction, resulting in a hyperstate of consciousness. In effect, the Sentry's powers are limitless.

Background / History:
During the course of his carrier he had three a sidekicks a talking dog (Watchdog), a boy side kick named Scout, and the Hulk. Yes the Hulk. Sentry was working on cure for Banner, but in the meantime Sentry's subtle control over light was able to keep Hulk calm. He also has a massive tower in Manhattan called the Watchtower with a sentient computer he built with Reed Richard's help (Reed was best man at his wedding).

For a long time everyone looked up to the Sentry, he served the roll Superman does in the DCU, everyone looked up to him. But this is a Marvel book, and that means he is gonna have problems, and as the greatest hero his problems will be the greatest.

His problem is two fold. The visible problem is the Void. His nemisis. Just as Sentry increased in power over time, so did the Void, but the Void was mearly a symptom of the real problem, addiction.

Every time Robby Reynolds wanted to go into battle as The Sentry he need to inject himself with the Secret Formula, but the addiction goes deeper than that. He was addicted to being a hero, to the excitement and the adulation. This addiction gave birth ot the Void, who is nothing more than a manifestation of Robbie's own darkside. And the Void's power was growing, faster than the power of the Sentry. One terrible day the Void came and destroyed most of Manhatten, and crippled Scout. It was then that the Fantastic Four discovered Sentry's secret. A council was held, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, Doctor Strange, they all sat in judgement on Sentry. The Void could not be allowed to return, its power had been increasing exponetially his return could spell the end of the world. Only Iron Man spoke up for Sentry (Tony was shown as being drunk at Sentry's wedding, which may help date when he had to go away), but the other heroes pervail. Reynolds is convinced of what much happen.

First he fakes his own death, at his funeral Reed Richards lies to the world saying The Sentry was working with the mob, then Reynolds and Richard set up a device on top of Sentry's Watchtower, creating a psionic feild purging the world's knowledge of all thing connected to the Sentry. Only if the world forgot the Sentry would it be safe from the Void. Peter forgot he won the pulitzer. The Hulk became savage again. The Fantastic Four forgot their many adventures along side with the Sentry. And Robbie Reynolds forgot he had ever flown the skys in the suit of gold and blue. Only Doctor Stange kept him memory, someone must stand guard. And so it remained for many years . . .

Reynolds remebered. Slowly it came back to him, in bits a peices. And as he remembered the Void returned. The Void appeared in Europe first (where it was night), and as Reynold's spent the day remembering the truth he grew and wreacked havock. Finally Reynolds remembered enough to find the Watchtower and disassemble the device, letting the world's memoried flood back. For a moment there was a feeling of elation. The Sentry was back, he'd watch over us, everything will be alright. Then the world remembered The Void. The heroes gathered along the New York City coast, the heroes and the villians standing side byside, to fight a fight they all expected to lose, to fight The Void. During the fight Reed convinced Robbie to give up his power again, they reassembled the device, reerased everyone's memory and saved the city.

Weapons / Paraphernalia:
The Watchtower is the headquarters and home of The Sentry, his sidekick Scout, his companion Watchdog and his wife Lindy Reynolds. It was designed and built by Bob Reynolds and his best friend Reed Richards. It is located in Manhatten and is run by the sentient cybernetic computer system known as Cloc (also designed and built by Bob Reynolds and Reed Richards).
